Phoenix metro Games is a Dutch computer game publisher who is generally understood for its numerous spending plan manufacturings and the look of its coats. The titles of their games token of the well-known manufacturings such as the animations of Walt Disney launched at the exact same time (Tale of Mulan, Atlantis: The Lost Continent) or are passed for collections (Air Raid 3, Las Vega Casino 2).
With the X17 manufacturer EVGA has a gaming mouse in the trade, which is deliberately directed to shooter players. Meinmmo has tested the mouse for you and reveals how well the mouse and what hides behind the triple sensor.
The essentials in brief:
The X17 is an ergonomic, right-handed mouse. The price is for the mouse at 79.99 euros. In the test, the device delivers a good ergonomics and, above all, crisp clicks and a great mouse wheel. The triple sensor and above all the mouse cable can not convince overall.
Which mouse is it? The EVGA X17 is a wired gaming mouse of EVGA. The mouse belongs to the X series of EVGA, next to the X17 there is still the X20 and the X15.
How did we test? We tried the gaming mouse for 4 weeks in detail on the Windows PC. We mainly showed shooters like Apex Legend and Overwatch.

EVGA X17 in detail
In the following section we introduce you to the gaming mouse in detail. We are committed to the following aspects:
Scope of delivery Design and construction Processing Software
Then we explain how the mouse beats in practice. We are on the weight, speed and performance of the rodent.
Scope of delivery, design and construction
What sees the scope of delivery? Next to the gaming mouse are still the obligatory instructions and a small box with 5 weights with 5 grams each in the black box.
What looks like the gaming mouse? The mouse is kept in simple black and reminiscent of other ergonomic mice such as the Logitech G502 Hero or the Roccat Kone Remastered. The comparatively high weight of 100 grams also shares the X17 with the competition.
On the top of the mouse are the main keys. Compared to the competition, these quite slim failed. In between is a 4-way mouse wheel and two small buttons with which you can change the profile (P) and the DPI stage (D).
There are three more buttons on the left side. The so-called sniper button is very centrally attached. Other mice like the G502 or the Rival 5 always set the sniper button far forward. The pages of the mouse are equipped with griptape and should provide a good grip.
During lighting, EVGA relies clear accents at the X17. Both the logo on the rear as well as the mouse wheel are illuminated and the front below the mouse button is illuminated, which the mouse misses a unique look.
Incidentally, the cable is not removable and is firmly connected to the gaming mouse. The mouse can only be used in cable mode, a wireless model of the X17 does not exist.
What are the specifics? The X17 can complain with additional weights. In this way, you can increase the weight of 103 grams to a total of 128 grams. This feature offers the G502 Hero of Logitech. Another special feature is the sniper button. Because this button sits very centrally and above the thumb tray.
The other special feature is the X17 by a triple sensor mouse. Because the mouse sets next to the standard sensor on two sensors responsible for the lift-of-distance (LOD). The triple sensor algorithm should detect the position on which the mouse is lifted off a surface and discontinued again to achieve the shortest and accurate lift-off distance.
Similar to the Viper 8k, the X17 also sets a polling rate of 8000 Hz, which is still used in a few mice. The Polling Rate determines how often the PC reads the information from the mouse or keyboard that has previously been stored in a buffer. At 8000 Hz, 8000 times the information are read out in one second.

How is the mouse held? The mouse is a right-handed mouse and can only be used by rights. All buttons are on the left side and are not mirrored. The mouse is focused mainly of Palmgrip and Clawgrip players. For fingertip users, the mouse is likely to be too big and above all too heavy.
Processing
Like us: The mouse acts really well processed. The housing makes a solid and well-processed impression without significant weaknesses and mouse wheel and keys feel good. The grip tape on the sides is also stably connected to the mouse. The high weight also gives the mouse a sense of security and stability.
We like it less: The cable is quite rigid and little flexible overall. In comparison, other manufacturers offer significantly more robust and more valuable cables. What also does not like us is the lid for the compartment of the weights on the back. Because the cover only relies on small magnets that rattle with movements. The two plastic pins, with which the cover is to sit firmly under the mouse, also looks a little valent.
Another aspect that strikes less positive are the mouse feet. Overall, there are 4 pieces distributed on the bottom of the mouse. These are quite thin failed. In practice, this offer a good grip, how fast these are worn, we can not tell you after our test period.
Software
Like us: The software is clearly designed. All in all, all functions are distributed to 6 tab pages that all can be selected via a window. Here you can select a number of functions and change.
In addition to the standard functions, you can also customize the assignment of the keys and pick up macros. The RGB lighting can also change or turn off if you bother you.
On the next page, we explain how the EVGA X17 beats in practice. We are based on weight, ergonomics and feel. You can also read if you like the mouse wheel and mouse days. Finally, you can read our conclusion.
